Andrada Popa is a singer-songwriter/ actress who has taken on the spotlight from a very young age. She represented Romania at Eurovision Junior when she was only 10 years old and won over 30 trophies at music contests across Europe.
At the age of 13, she booked her first major role in what had to become the most awarded musical TV Drama in Romania, 'Pariu cu Viata'. At the same time, she became a member of the very popular 'La La Band' with whom she toured in over 30 cities. She and her band won 'Teen Idol' at Romanian Music Awards and been awarded 'The Golden Disc' for selling over 10.000 copies of their album.
After 4 seasons of 'Pariu cu Viata' and 3 national tours with 'La La Band', she launched her solo career as a pop singer, and released two singles ‘Champions in Disguise’ and ‘1,2,3’ under Cat Music Romania before moving to London in 2016 to get her degree in Musical Theatre.
While studying at London College of Music, she started a collaboration with Universal & Sony Music Publishing as songwriter/ performer for ITV, Channel 4 & Sky UK. Her songs have been on Love Island, Selling Sunset, HBO and in many other international ads and trailers.
In August 2019, Andrada released a music video through AMG Sony for her single 'I'll Be Lovin' You' and reached over 400,000 views on Youtube. The track peaked at #2 in the Music Worx Chart.
She appeared as 'Chastity' in the musical 'Anything Goes' directed by Adam Morley and in January 2020 she released her music video, ‘Unbreakable’ which hit over half a million views and received worldwide praise and attention from the press for its powerful storyline and message. Unbreakable is the first track on 'The Lightshow', album that reached #4 in the ITunes US Pop Charts and entered the Billboard Compilation Chart at #23 in September 2020.
Recent releases 'High on Love', 'Sign from God' and 'Serenade' have brought Andrada over a million streams across music platforms. Her latest tracks, 'Serenade' & 'Sign from God' have made it onto Apple Music's New Music Daily and Spotify's New Music Friday. Andrada has just performed at LivexLive's Global Music Festival alongside John Mayer, Wiz Khalifa, Pitbull, Lennon Stella & 24kGoldn.
Andrada has just starred as lead role in the movie Legatii (The Rope) which peaked at #1 on Netflix and stayed in top 10 for three consecutive weeks in Eastern Europe and she is currently doing live interviews and TV shows to discuss her Eurovision 2023 entry 'No Time for Me'
